  • (DATAENG) Build and manage ETL pipelines across multiple data vendors
  • Designed and implemented REST backend in Python forfetching data from Bloomberg DataLicense
  • Wrote algorithms to batch and concurrently process large data requests as multiple smaller requests
  • Drove 10.4x speedup in fetch jobs, which were originally running on a slower SFTP-based backend

  • Modified backend in Python to dynamically allocate resources in our cluster using Apache Spark in Kubernetes mode
  • Eliminated OOM errors in large jobs and resource underutilization in small jobs
  • Extracted features and designed an algorithm to generate Spark resource configurations using heuristics and KNN with historical runs
  • Resulted in a 59% speedup for our largest validation job and 27% decrease in unused resources for small jobs

  • Developing intelligent systems to bridge the gap between developers and product
  • Built word2vec-based model in Python using GitHub commit data to generate vector representations of developers
  • Engineers working in similar areas are modeled to be closer together (by cosine similarity) in their embeddings
  • Trained a feed-forward neural network in PyTorch to predict assignees of GitHub issues onto the embedding space
